Sailor chair was born from a research that satisfies on one hand aesthetics, functionality purposes and on the otherrespect for the tradition and attention to the environment. The main material is the nautical top. We appreciate it for its fundamental qualities: physical resistance and weather resistance.

From the past to today

In fact, in order to realize the seat in drawcord, you need a four-handed job. It’s a long process, through which you have to stop and repeatedly look at every detail so that everything is done by art. Our chairs are woven with great skill and ability, thanks to the knowledge handed down to us from the old generations of our territory up to the present day.

Product information

The structures are produced in steel, powder coated. The powder paint is free of solvents and does not release volatile organic compounds (VOC), plus it complies with EN 71-3: we use the best technologies available while respecting the environment. The nautical rope is a synthetic fiber with an internal PET core with an external polyester coating. The High Tenacity polyester used for our seats guarantees excellent resistance to atmospheric agents, to abrasions and traction. Weight: 6,2 kg

The industrial design studio Guggenbichlerdesign, founded in 2004, is based in Vienna.
